Abstrak

This research aims to look at educational psychology case studies that use cognitive theory at MI Tarbiyatussibyan, Karawang Regency, West Java. Teachers and students at MI Tarbiyatussibyan were the subjects of this research. Interviews, documentation and observation were used as research tools with a qualitative approach that was documented descriptively. This research was conducted based on research findings. This shows that almost all teachers at MI Tarbiyatussibyan have applied cognitive theory since the school was founded. Just like the instructor explains in front of the class and writes the alphabet and numbers on the blackboard, when the learning process begins, students write in their respective books under the teacher's instructions and model. The students handed over their notebooks to the teacher. The application of this cognitive theory to Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is very appropriate and effective in learning, according to the author. When the learning process begins, the students who take part in the learning are quite enthusiastic and active in class. Keywords: Cognitive Theory; Educational Psychology Case Study on the Application of Cognitive Theory. The implications of this research are: 1) Improving teaching methods, 2) Preparing the curriculum to be relevant, 3) Improving teacher quality according to competency, 4) Developing material that will be more varied and interesting.
