MEMAHAMI FOKUS PELANGGAN DALAM PENDIDIKAN ISLAM: Sebuah Pendekatan Akademik Dalam Manajemen Mutu

Customer focus is one of the fundamental principles in quality management that has significant relevance in the world of education, including Islamic education. This article aims to examine the concept of customer focus in Islamic educational institutions through an academic approach, emphasizing the importance of understanding the needs and expectations of all stakeholders, both internal and external. The study method was carried out through a literature study on the theory of Total Quality Management (TQM) and service principles from an Islamic perspective. The results of the discussion show that education customers include students, parents, the community, the world of work, the government, and other related parties who have an interest in the quality of education. The application of customer focus in Islamic educational institutions includes identifying customer needs, needs-based strategic planning, providing responsive services, and continuous evaluation and improvement. From an Islamic perspective, service to customers is seen as a form of worship and moral trust that demands the integration of spiritual values with quality management. This study concludes that the consistent application of customer focus not only improves the quality of educational services, but also strengthens the public's image and trust in Islamic educational institutions.
