RELEVANSI HADITS DALAM TRADISI KEHIDUPAN UMAT BERAGAMA

Abstrak

The Prophet Muhammad saw is a portrait of the Qur'an which is a reference in practicing Islam. The attitude of the companions after the prophet also plays an important role. So Imam Malik defines the traces of the actions of the Prophet and his companions after him with As-Sunnah. Meanwhile, As-Syafi'i gives more sunnah connotations only to the sunnah of the prophet. Sunnah in Imam Malik's understanding has high authority because it has become a living tradition in Medina society as a reflection of the footsteps of the Prophet and his companions who knew directly the Prophet's way of life. In his view, tradition does not have a reliable historical account because it could be contaminated with the authority of the caliphs who played a role in the religious tradition. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a type of library research or known as library research. The research results show that living traditions are more generally known in Islamic society. Meanwhile, the hadith became better known and received careful attention from Muslims afterward. So tradition dominates Muslim society in religious life. Historically, this tradition developed in the life and culture of Muslims. So this article wants to see the relevance between the prophet's footsteps and the traditions that developed among Muslims. The implications of this research are 1) Deeper Understanding of Hadith, 2) Application of Hadith in Daily Life, 3) Ethics and Moral Development, 4) Education and Da'wah, 5) Cooperation between Religious People.
