Abstract

Women were respected in the early days of Islam, according to Islamic history. During the time of Jahiliyah, Islam had improved women's status and increased their dignity. The idea of gender equality is stated clearly in the Koran. The importance of devotion and worship to Allah is the only distinction that is used to determine how much their dignity is elevated or lowered. Surat al-Hujurat [49]: 13. However, the issue is that the public still views women's existence as insignificant. This is because of the teachings of long-standing customs that are challenging to alter. However, there are misconceptions about how Islamic teachings relate to women's status, such as the belief that Islamic beliefs hinder women's advancement.

This essay will correct misconceptions about women's status in Islam. Islam never forbids women from pursuing vocations and working in public. In actuality, Islam forbids discrimination against women and men and upholds the rights of women.
