Copyright Notice and Licensing Policy

1. Copyright Ownership

Authors who publish in Wacana Equiliberium (Jurnal Pemikiran Penelitian Ekonomi) retain copyright ownership of their original scholarly works.

The journal does not require authors to transfer copyright ownership to Universitas Islam Madura or the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Islam Madura.

Authors retain their intellectual property rights while granting the journal the permissions necessary for scholarly publication and dissemination.

2. First Publication Rights

By agreeing to publish their work in Wacana Equiliberium, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right of first publication.

This authorization permits the journal to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, disseminate, index, and preserve the article as part of the scholarly record.

The grant of publication rights does not prevent authors from using, sharing, or distributing their own work in accordance with the applicable licensing terms and publication agreements.

Authors acknowledge Wacana Equiliberium as the original journal of publication when subsequently distributing the published work.

3. Creative Commons Licensing

Articles published under the journal's current licensing policy are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This license permits the copying, redistribution, adaptation, translation, and reuse of published content for commercial and non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given.

Users must acknowledge the original authors and publication source, provide a link to the applicable license, and indicate whether changes have been made.

The CC BY 4.0 license does not require adapted materials to be published under the same license. The original licensed material nevertheless remains subject to the terms of CC BY 4.0.

4. Author Distribution and Self-Archiving Rights

Authors are permitted to enter into additional non-exclusive arrangements for distributing their published work, including:

  • Depositing articles in institutional or disciplinary repositories.

  • Sharing articles through personal or institutional websites.

  • Including published materials in books or scholarly compilations.

  • Sharing articles through academic networks and educational platforms.

  • Reusing their original research content in subsequent scholarly work.

Such distribution must respect the applicable rights of third parties and acknowledge the original publication in Wacana Equiliberium.

Authors are encouraged to include the article DOI or official journal URL when sharing published versions.

5. Third-Party Copyright and Permissions

Authors are responsible for ensuring that materials included in their manuscripts do not infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

Permission must be obtained when copyrighted third-party materials are reproduced beyond the scope of applicable legal exceptions or existing licenses.

Any material excluded from the article's Creative Commons license must be appropriately identified.

The journal may request documentation of relevant permissions where necessary.

6. Copyright Notice and Publication Metadata

The journal aims to display clear copyright and licensing information for each published article.

For articles published under the current policy, the recommended copyright statement is:

Copyright © [Year] The Author(s).

This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

The article's publication record should identify its copyright holder, copyright year, and applicable license.

Any article published under a different valid licensing arrangement retains the rights and conditions applicable to that publication. Changes to journal-wide policy do not automatically replace earlier publication agreements.

7. Policy Responsibility

The journal's editorial management, supported by Universitas Islam Madura and the Faculty of Economics, is responsible for communicating and applying its copyright and licensing policies.

Any modifications to these policies will be publicly communicated and implemented consistently with applicable copyright law and existing author agreements.
