FORMULASI SEDIAAN SABUN WAJAH BERBAHAN AKTIF EKSTRAK SARANG BURUNG WALLET DAN SCOOBY KOMBUCHA SEBAGAI ANTIPENUAAN BERDASARKAN DAYA HAMBAT ENZIM TIROSINASE

Abstract

Signs of premature aging, indicated by hyperpigmentation on the skin, are the highest chance of occurring in some of the younger generation due to an unhealthy lifestyle. Signs of aging include fine lines, wrinkles, and exposure to free radicals such as air pollution, cigarette smoke, and foods that cause cancer. The solution to overcome these problems in this research is to utilize natural ingredients from agricultural technology to be developed as pharmaceutical preparations (facial soap). The facial soap preparation used in this research was carried out to inhibit aging through a series of in vitro studies, namely by inhibiting the tyrosinase enzyme. White swallowtail bird's nest contains Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) which functions in the cell division process so that apart from being able to be used as a functional food in this research, it is sufficient to produce the latest scientific information as a pharmaceutical preparation. Scoby kombucha extract contains bioactive compounds as a source of antioxidants. This study aims to test the inhibitory power of the tyrosinase enzyme, both extracts and facial soap preparations in vitro. The results of this study have proven that Scoby Kombucha Extract has a higher antioxidant value (9,446 ± 82.7) when compared to white swallowtail bird's nest extract (4,621 ± 25.7). The three formulations of facial soap with the active ingredients white swallowtail bird's nest extract and scoby kombucha have the most optimal aging inhibitory power with an average IC50 value of 1.046 ± 12.9. The conclusion in this research is that natural ingredient preparations produced from post-harvest technology for agricultural products have the potential to be developed as environmentally friendly pharmaceutical preparations (cosmetics/facial soap) in preventing premature aging.
