Abstract

Organic waste management remains a serious challenge in urban areas, including in Pamekasan Regency. This study aims to analyze the influence of access to organic waste, waste management training and education, government policy support, environmental and social awareness, and business opportunities on income and environmental conservation in the context of sustainable urban farming. The research location was purposively selected in Kangenan Village, Pamekasan District, with Roemah Maggot Nusantara as the object of research, a Black Soldier Fly (BSF)-based waste management business. The analysis method used was multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS software. The results showed that all independent variables simultaneously had a significant effect on income and environmental conservation. Partially, only environmental and social awareness variables had a significant effect, while access to organic waste, training and education, government policy support, and business opportunities did not show any significant impact. This suggests that the success of organic waste management in supporting the sustainability of urban agriculture depends heavily on increasing public awareness to view organic waste as an economic and ecological resource, not simply waste.
