Analysis of the Added Value of Cak Emon Herbal Powder in Sumenep Regency as a Support for Sustainable Agriculture

Abstract

One important approach to promoting sustainable agriculture in rural areas and improving farmers' welfare is the development of agro-industries based on natural ingredients. The aim of this study is to examine the added value generated from the processing of Cak Emon Powdered Herbal Medicine in Sumenep Regency and how it impacts farmers' welfare and sustainable farming practices. The results of this study indicate that the value-added analysis of Cak Emon powdered herbal medicine yields an added value of IDR 31,922 with a value-added ratio of 55.16%. This means a significant increase in added value, with the ratio indicator increasing by more than 40%. Overall, the findings of this study demonstrate that processing powdered herbal medicine enhances economic value, strengthens farmers' socio-economic resilience, and supports the goals of sustainable agriculture in Sumenep Regency
