Abstract

The red Garifta mango is a cross between superior local mangoes with a sweeter taste, red skin, freshness, low acidity (0.21%), and a slightly soft texture. To obtain quality seedlings, proper maintenance is required, including proper fertilization. Due to the increasing dependence on chemical fertilizers, organic fertilizers made from animal manure have become an alternative. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using several types of organic fertilizers with different doses on red Garifta mango seedlings. The design used was a factorial randomized block design (RCBD), consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the type of organic fertilizer consisting of 3 levels: cow manure, goat manure, and vermicompost. The second factor was the fertilizer dosage consisting of 3 levels: 150 g/polybag, 100 g/polybag, and 50 g/polybag. The results showed that the application of goat manure with a dose of 100 g/polybag was able to increase plant height in the 10th and 12th weeks after planting. The application of goat manure was also able to increase stem diameter in the 4th and 6th weeks after planting by 62 cm and 66 cm.
