PEMANFAATAN TANAMAN OBAT DALAM SWAMEDIKASI OLEH IBU-IBU FATAYAT NU DI DESA PANAONGAN
Abstract
This study aims to describe the use of medicinal plants by members of Fatayat NU in Panaongan Village. This qualitative study used data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed by grouping information from various sources, including interview results, questionnaires, respondent recordings, and photos during the study. The results showed that the majority of informants understood medicinal plants as plants that have properties to overcome health complaints and can cure various diseases. All informants have used medicinal plants as an alternative treatment. The main reason for using medicinal plants is a hereditary heritage from ancestors that is believed to be effective, then tried by the community, felt suitable, and preserved until now. In addition, all informants reported not feeling any dangerous side effects after use; instead, they felt positive effects. The conclusion of this study is that the use of medicinal plants by members of Fatayat NU in Panaongan Village is based on the belief in its properties that are passed down from generation to generation, with positive experiences without any adverse side effects.
