SKRINING FITOKIMIA EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN JAMBU BIJI (Psidium guajava L) ASAL KECAMATAN PADEMAWU KABUPATEN PAMEKASAN
Abstract
Guava (Psidium guajava L) is a plant species with numerous benefits, particularly in its leaves. Guava leaves are known to contain compounds that can be used as antibacterial agents. This study aims to determine whether guava leaf extract contains antibacterial compounds such as saponins, tannins, and flavonoids. The extraction process was carried out using the maceration method in 95% ethanol solvent for five days, followed by evaporation using a rotary evaporator to obtain a concentrated extract. Phytochemical testing results showed that guava leaf extract contains antibacterial compounds, including saponins, tannins, and flavonoids.
